Working with Example Sets
Cycle version 2.7.0 and later contains a tool known as the Example Set Viewer which allows users to create and manipulate sets of data to use when executing Scenario Outlines.
What is an Example Set?
Example sets are simple collections of data comprised of a table with specifically named columns which correspond to the
<chevron_variables> of a given Scenario Outline. The rows of data in an Example Set each represent a single iteration of the corresponding Scenario Outline, the values in the row being the variables that will get inserted for that particular iteration.
Where are Example Sets Stored?
Example Sets are stored on whatever database Cycle is pointed at for its Data Store Connection. Therefore, multiple users across an organization can add, edit, and use the same Example Sets for their test suite.
